PLANTING DENSITY

64 plants/m2 net

PRE-PLANTING

Soil: Well drained, loose soil with no clusters. At least 25 cm (10 in) deep.

Netting: 2-3 levels

Light: Use light from planting to harvest.  Day extension to a 16 hr photoperiod.

IRRIGATION

It requires very good drainage and doesn´t tolerate excess humidity.

FERTILIZATION

Bupleurum demmands calcium.  A general fertilization formula can be the following:

N: 120 ppm

P: 40 ppm

K: 160 ppm

Ca: 120 ppm

Mg: 60 ppm

S: 50 ppm

Fe: 2 ppm

Mn: 2.5 ppm

Cu, Zn and B: 0.2 ppm.

HARVEST

Harvest when more than 50% of the flowers are opened.   Stems must immaediately hydrated after harvest.

POSTHARVEST TREATMENT

Use an initial solution (Crhysal) (0.3 g/lt) of 6 to 8 hours.
