PLANTING DENSITY

PRE-PLANTING

Soil: Well drained, loose soil with no clusters, at least 25 cm (10 in.) deep.

pH: 5.5 to 6.5

EC: 10.8 – 1.6

NETTING

3-4 levels of netting are required with squares of 17 x 20 cm.  The first level must between 25 to 29 cm above soil.

IRRIGATION

Maintain the soil moisture constantly.

LABOR

There are some labors that are mandatory to maintain balance in plants: remove flowers from thin stems, stems with only two flowers, pinch blind stems, remove flowers of stems that are below the second floor. These stems should be removed gradually. The stems should be pulled to encourage new stems to sprout.

HARVEST

Harvest by pulling the stems off the ground. Harvest 2 – 3 times per week. Harvest stage when the petals begin to separate between themselves.

POST HARVEST TREATMENT

Hydrate in AVB solution (0.5 cc/lt) + AVB booster (1cc/lt) for 4 hours.  Then, hydrate in Chrysal Professional 2 (10 cc/lt) for 4 hours.
