Trachelium is widely used as a filler in bouquets or elegantly displayed as “mono” bouquets. The flowers are lightly scented, light and lacy, and are found in a profusion of colours. Longday flowering Lake varieties need 16 to 18 hours of daylength or night interruption to flower and to produce the large central umbel with smaller side umbels or “satellites.” Foliage is medium green unless noted. The Lake varieties have excellent vase life and good shippability.
