• Excellent, fast year-round crop.
• Good post-harvest life.

Best for: Greenhouse, high tunnel
Suite (4)
Vegmo Snowball Extra, Vegmo Sunny Ball, Vegmo Single, Vegmo Single Yellow
CROP TIME
From planting to harvest: 14 to 15 weeks.
PLANTING DENSITY
80 plants/m2 net
PRE-PLANTING
Soil: Well drained, loose soil with no clusters. At least 25 cm (10 in) deep.
pH: 6.0 a 7.2
Netting: 2- levels
CE: 0.2 a 0.6 mmhos/cm
Matricarias require long day conditions for floral induction. Critical day length is 14 hours.
When extending daylength night interruption for 2-4 hours begin at 12:00 am, or early AM extension before dawn are effective. Cyclic lighting for 7.5 minutes every half hour can also be used.
IRRIGATION
For plants to root well, maintain soil’s humidity at field’s capacity. Two weeks before harvest reduce irrigation. During production, maintain an irrigation volume of 5 to 5.5 l/m2 according to the environmental conditios and soil type.
FERTILIZATION
A general fertilization formula can be the following:
N: 120 ppm
P: 40 ppm
K: 160 ppm
Ca: 120 ppm
Mg: 60 ppm
S: 50 ppm
Fe: 2 ppm
Mn: 2.5 ppm
Cu, Zn y B: 0.2 ppm.
With drip irrigation, maintain CE levels between 0.8 y 1.2. Matricaria is sensitive to high salinity. Potassium nitrate is recommended during flower bud formation.
HARVEST
Harvest when 65 - 70 % of flowers opened.
POSTHARVEST TREATMENT
Hydrate in Chrysal Professional 2, at 10 cc / lt) for 12 hours and in a cold room. Matricaria is not sensitive to ethylene.
