Culture Tips
CROP TIME
From planting to harvest: 15 to 16 weeks.
PLANTING DENSITY
40 Plants /m2 net
PRE-PLANTING
Soil: Well drained, loose soil with no clusters, at least 25 cm (10 in.) deep.
pH: 5.5 to 6.5
Netting: 2 to 3 levels
PINCH
Pinch 4 weeks after planting in order to stimulate the basal sprouting of the plant. Pinch to the second pair of true leaves.
SHOOTING SELECTION
2-3 weeks after pinch, leave the 3 best stems of the plant.
IRRIGATION
At planting or after 7 days, use drip irrigation applying a volume of 4-5 l/m2/day. If soil gets dry, use overhead irrigation during first 3 week to complement according to the environmental and organoleptic conditions. The soil should never reach saturation or become completely dry.
FERTILIZATION
Begin fertilization one week after transplanting until harvest. .
A general fertilization formula can be:
N: 120 ppm
P: 50 ppm
K: 150 ppm
Ca: 120 ppm
Mg: 50 ppm
S: 50 ppm
Fe: 2 ppm
Mn: 2.5 ppm
Cu, Zn y B: 0.2 ppm..
The adjustment of the fertilization formula must be done according to the soil analysis of the planting site.
HARVEST
Harvest at 50% to 60% of flower opening.
Stems can be harvested before buds show color and be commercialized as “Green Amazon”.
POST HARVEST TREATMENT
Use AVB (o.5cm3 /Lt of Water). Mix very well and add AVB Booster (1 cm3/Lt of Water. Keep the flower in this solution for 4 hrs. Then hydrate for 4 hrs in CHRYSAL PROFESSIONAL 2 (10 cm3/Lt of Water).
